Switch detail
The rear point is manually operated, with the tiebar actuating the microswitch directly. There's enough slop in the plunger to make this work nicely. The one at the front has a control rod running under the board, with the end of the wire bent up and inserted into a wooden block to actuate the second microswitch. The block doubles as the operating handle - it's not exactly elegant, but it works.
