Ballasted with Klear
Hornby "light tan" fine ballast with a pinch of medium, mixed with Mig productions Gulf War Sand. Applied as usual with a spoon and brush and set with Johnson's Klear applied by eyedropper. The Klear has slightly darkened the ballast, and at this level of close-up you can see this is probably because it's a little glossy. The original dry ballast mix is on the left for reference.
