Gunked
A quick coat of gesso tinted with raw umber and burnt siena acylic. It looks pretty rough in this picture, I'm going to fettle it up a bit when it dries. A tip seems to be to paint root to tip to avoid clots of gesso ending up hidden - on the twigs you can see them and pick them up with the brush. After this, black spraypaint (the gesso is coloured to prevent white chips) and then a top coat.
