Almost done
The decoder is in place with the orange and grey wires soldered to the motor terminals, and the red + black spliced into the pickups. A more professional approach would be to solder the red and black wires directly to the pickup terminals, but that requires a lot more dismantling. All the joints are soldered and insulated, and the surplus decoder wires are wrapped up out of the way in case I'm ever brave enough to fit lights. Tamiya tape used in lieu of insulating tape, but it should be fine.
