Farm and level crossing
The farm building is an excellent Vollmer kit from the fachwerkdorf set which usually has one more storey. I originally built it following the instructions, but sawed the bottom storey off since the building looked urban (tall and thin) rather than rural, despite being billed as a farmhouse. A gap was made in the timbering overlay and a door scrounged up from elsewhere on the sprue. The level crossing sign is plastic strip. The water in the duck pond and ditch is 5 minute epoxy - this worked great for the duck point, but is a bit bulgy for the ditch - probably too thin a space to level it out properly?
